Frequently Asked Questions

Questions worth answering before you spend anything.

What Clarify Health does, what it deliberately does not do, and how the practical details work.

What exactly does Clarify Health do?

I examine everything you take — prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and supplements — together with your health conditions, your laboratory results, your symptoms, and your goals. You receive a written analysis of what I found, what genuinely matters, and what order to address things in, along with two consultations to talk it through. It is a cash-pay consulting practice, so there is nothing to bill and no product being sold to you.

Is this a replacement for my physician?

No. Your physician remains your physician. What I add is time, and a pharmacist's depth on medications — both of which are difficult to fit into a visit that must also address the reason you booked it. Where I find something worth changing, I prepare it as a specific recommendation with the reasoning attached, for you to take to whoever prescribes it.

Will you tell me to stop my medications?

I may tell you that something looks worth reconsidering, and I will explain why. But you should not stop a prescription on the strength of my review alone. That decision belongs to you and your prescriber, and part of my work is making sure you can have that conversation well — with the reasoning in hand rather than a vague sense that something is wrong.

Do I need to be taking a lot of medications to benefit?

No. Complexity matters more than quantity. Someone taking three prescriptions and six supplements chosen from four different sources often has more going on beneath the surface than someone taking eight medications managed by a single physician. If you are not certain everything you do still fits together, that is reason enough.

Do you review supplements?

Yes, in the same analysis as everything else, and that is deliberate. Supplement advice and prescription advice almost always come from different places, and the gap between them is precisely where duplicated ingredients, interactions, effects on laboratory results, and wasted money tend to sit.

Do you accept insurance?

No. This is a cash-pay practice. You know the price before you begin, and the time spent on your review is determined by what your review needs rather than by what a billing code permits.

Can you review my laboratory results?

Yes, in context — as part of establishing whether a therapy is doing its job, whether you are being monitored adequately, and whether anything you take is affecting the result itself. That last possibility arises more often than people expect. This is interpretation in service of the review, not a substitute for the judgment of the clinician who ordered the test.

Will you order laboratory tests?

Sometimes. Where a test would genuinely change what I am able to tell you, I can order it through Fullscript under my own practitioner credentials, where the law permits. Testing is not part of every review, and laboratory costs are separate from the review fee. You are also free to take the same list to your physician and have the work done that way — the recommendation is identical either way.

Can Clarify Health prescribe medication?

No. I evaluate what you take, explain what I find, and develop recommendations for the clinicians who are able to prescribe. Where a change requires a prescriber, I prepare the case and the reasoning rather than making the change.

Can you review testosterone therapy, peptides, or other performance protocols?

Yes. I will tell you what the evidence actually supports, how it interacts with everything else you take, what monitoring it needs, and what it is realistically doing for you. I cannot prescribe any of it — that requires a prescriber — but I can tell you whether what you are on makes sense, and I will say so plainly if I do not think it is worth your money.

Can you communicate with my doctor?

Yes, when you authorize it and when there is something worth their time. I will write a concise summary of the relevant findings and what I would suggest. Whether they act on it is their judgment to make — they know things about you that I do not.

Where do consultations take place?

By secure video or telephone, whichever suits you better.

Is the service available everywhere?

I am based in Birmingham, Alabama. Whether we can work together depends on where you live and on professional licensing requirements. If you are unsure, please ask before purchasing.

How do I send my medical information?

Through the secure client portal, never through this website. There is no form here that asks for health information, and you should not send medications, diagnoses, laboratory results, or records to any email address listed on this site.

Is this an emergency service?

No. This is not the place for an emergency or for something that is getting rapidly worse. Please do not wait on a consultation or a portal message if you need care now — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

What happens after my initial review?

Most people take the plan, work through it with their clinicians, and return when something changes. Some book a focused follow-up for a single new question. A few want ongoing review and join the Concierge Partnership. There is no obligation to continue.

What is the Concierge Partnership?

$199 a month for established clients: one scheduled 30-minute consultation each month, ongoing review as medications, supplements, and laboratory results change, follow-up on whether the plan is actually being implemented, and secure messaging between visits for brief, non-urgent questions. It is not unlimited access, it is not concierge primary care, and it is not an emergency service. A genuinely new problem needs an appointment, and a substantial re-examination needs another review.

How long does a review take?

Typically two to three weeks, depending on how complicated your regimen is and how quickly the intake comes back. I will give you a firmer date at our first conversation, once I have seen what is involved.

Does Clarify Health use artificial intelligence?

I use modern tools, including AI, to assist with literature searching, organization, and synthesis. They are not the product. Every conclusion and every recommendation that reaches you has been read and approved by me — if I have not read it, it does not go into your report.

If you need care now

Clarify Health is not intended for medical emergencies or rapidly worsening conditions. Do not delay urgent or emergency care while waiting for a consultation or portal response. If you believe you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
